3.26 | Air Max Day
3.26 Air Max Day. From 3.26.2015-3.28.2015, Nike celebrated its greatness in Downtown LA in a shoe box! Yes, a huge shoe box!
It was very hot in the City of Angels. As we got closer to the line, I saw Kristen from Nike and she pulled us in (thank you so much!). We finally got inside the majestic shoe box, and saw that Nike has outdone itself again. It was such a surreal atmosphere, and you really get to feel nostalgic with all the classic Air Max's in the room.
THE ONE BEFORE THE 1
This Tinker-designed sneaker is a prelude to the Air Max 1. Zero adds up to the Nike Air Max Zero, an idea put on paper 29 years ago that contained nearly three decades of innovation. It wouldn’t become the first Nike Air Max shoe, but without it, the Nike Air Max 1 would not exist. The Nike Air Max Zero was the first step. The one before the 1. Thank you, Tinker Hatfield! Jason Markk's stations were waiting for us outside & got our shoes some tender loving care!
Upon leaving the Nike's SNKRS Box, you get a 3D printed Air Max! Since I didn't get the Nike Air Max Zeros, I got a 3D printed one instead! lol
LOVE IS IN THE AIR...
I could not leave without grabbing our own fresh pair of Air Max's. I got the Nike Women's Air Max 1 Ultra (Milan)
RUNNING HERITAGE, LOCALLY INSPIRED.
The Nike Air Max 1 Ultra (Milan) Women's Shoe updates a running classic with a floral facade of lilies and plum blossoms that pays homage to female runners in the Italy's fashion capital. Air-Sole cushioning provides the same lightweight comfort that made the original famous. (Via Nike.com)
The Nike Air Max 1 Ultra is beyond beautiful and comfortable, but I'm worried about how easily it could create creases! I wore it for just a few minutes to try on, and I immediately saw small creases on the shoe. So just an FYI!
Overall, the event was definitely one for the books! Thank you Nike and Kristen for making this experience awesome!
